A corrupted SD card can almost always be recovering.
In some cases, it is possible to recover the files on the card, and in others.
There is at least the option to format the damaged card to continue using it from scratch.
Whatever your case, take a look at this tutorial.
In Windows, there is a handy command that can recover a damaged SD card in the vast majority of cases.
It works on any computer, and to use it.
You do not need to install any program.
This command is called chkdsk.
First, start by connecting the SD / microSD card to the computer.
If your computer doesn’t have card ports, you need to buy this microSD card adapter, or if you are recovering an SD card, get this SD / MicroSD adapter.
Wait for the computer to recognize the card.
It doesn’t matter if it shows an error or not.
The important thing is that you go into the Windows “This computer” or “My PC.”
Menu and look at the letter that associates your computer with the card (the most common are F: the G: or the H:).
Once you have pointed that letter, open the Windows command window (remember that it is by pressing the Windows + R keys simultaneously).
You can also type “Run” in the browser and there enter CMD.

Both commands are aiming at detecting -and solving- the storage units’ errors.
So if there is any possibility of recovering the data from the damaged card, that one, of course, goes through trying those two codes.
But when using the chkdsk command, there is the possibility that the computer throws you some error.
In either case, it is a bad sign, and it means that you will have a tough time getting the data from the card back.
The best you can do if you have had any errors is to format the corrupted SD.
Doing a format, at least, will allow you to continue using the memory card without having to buy a new SD.
Do not run out of space: these are the microSD of 128 GB or more than triumph in Amazon Spain
To format the card from your computer, all you have to do is:
If it is a microSD connected to the mobile, you only have to format
But suppose you have realized that you have a damaged microSD.
When you insert the memory card into the mobile, and it turns out that you do not have a computer at hand.
In that case, the only thing you can do is format the card so that hopefully at least allows you to continue using it without having to buy a new SD.
To do this, all you have to do is click on the notification of ” External media (SD card) damaged ” and follow the instructions that will be showing on the screen.
